Haute Mama was born in 2006 in Connecticut, USA, when founder Fiona Creed was pregnant with her daughter, Amelia Rae.
Pregnancy is full of surprises it was during her pregnancy that Fiona, who originally hails from Cork, first realised she’d rather study the secrets of how to achieve postpartum panache than scrutinise the particulars of European foreign policy. In other words, she kissed goodbye to her academic career as she said hello to motherhood - and with it a whole new calling: namely introducing the finest range of gorgeous, hand-picked maternity wear and baby gifts from the USA to Ireland & the UK. She hasn’t looked back.
Inspired by some of most famous and successful maternity & baby boutiques in New York, San Francisco and LA, Fiona is passionate about seeking out fresh, fabulous lines for new and expectant moms and the cutest and cosiest pieces for babies, from keepsake shoes worthy of first steps, to Pee Pee Tee Pees for keeping your little man’s little man under wraps. Fiona is an artisan when it comes to knowing how to combine the very best of maternity and non-maternity to suit each expectant Mom’s body shape, and an expert in mixing high fashion designs with fabulous functional basics. She personally sources every item in the boutique from the USA, usually LA, and selects products for their quality, style & craftsmanship. Many of the brands stocked are exclusive to Haute Mama - you won’t find them elsewhere in Ireland or the UK. As if having a baby and starting a business weren’t enough, Fiona now has a bouncing baby boy named Quinn but she still finds time to devote to Haute Mama, and is especially committed to first class customer service. So committed, that whilst in labour she was determinedly packaging up next day orders, and says she still has vivid memories of clutching the edge of the table and trying to breathe through contractions whilst cutting an organza ribbon on the diagonal. Haute Mama also offers exclusive gift-wrapping at the hands of one trained by a world renowned gift-wrapping guru!
